Significant community activities: Jack Emery Drive; Volunteered for the Humane Society; Organized: blood drive, Jack Emery Drive, funding for Help Flood Victims in Vietnam, Cultural Diversity Week; Collected money donations and walked 7 miles for Walk for Aids, Assisted at Center to Prevent Abused Women and Children; Volunteered at The Giving Tree, Performed at Mexican Heritage Celebration, Performed at Multicultural Celebrations, Tet Festivals and Mid Autumn Festival; joined movement to help clean the Natural Bridges beach;
Achievements/Awards: A dancer in the 1st place performance at the 6th annual Mid Autumn Festival cultural dance competition; Nominated best musician in Orchestra of 1998 class; Played in the Winter Junior Conference '97 for Honors Orchestra. Semi-finalist in Varsity Basketball; Golden State Seal Award Recipient, Rho Pi Phi Pharmacy Fraternity, American Pharmaceutical Association (AphA), Associated Students of Pharmacy (ASP), National Honors Society (NHS) for 3 years, Part of String Quartet which performs at nursing homes, orphanages, etc; National Honors Society (NHS) for 3 years; California Scholarship Federation (CSF) for 4 years; Vice-President (1 year) and President (2) years of MHS VSA; Junior Varsity (1 year) and Varsity (2 years) of the MHS Badminton Team.
