Buzzzz..........Awakening to the sound of an alarm clock at 7:30 almost every Saturday morning is not a pleasant sound at all. But over the past six years that I have been with Canh Chim Bach Viet, I have become accustomed to it. By the time I arrive in San Jose for dance practice it is around 9:00. The other dance members and I practice till noon. Although that seems like a long time (three hours to be exact), we always have fun and it is also a great way of serving the community.
Looking back, I remember the first time I began my dancing lessons at the age of three. Okay, so it may not have looked like I was dancing, but my parents thought I looked adorable in my leotard and tutu. Little did I know for the next sixteen years I would still be dancing. I have covered a lot of areas in dance such as: ballet, jazz, tap, modern, hip hop, hula, and Japanese folk dancing, besides learning traditional Vietnamese dances. Recently, I have gotten the privilege to choreograph a few dances and work with many delightful people.
I am extremely grateful for my family and friends who have over the past years supported me tremendously. Many thanks to you all!!!
Hugs & Kisses,
